Move Your Health Forward

Northstar Healthcare and Aesthetics opened its doors in the spring of 2004. Independently owned and operated by Nurse Practitioners, Northstar was the first practice of its kind in Southeast Idaho. Although traditional medicine is the mainstay of the practice, a blend of complimentary methods have been integrated for a more comprehensive approach to healthcare. Here, each patient’s unique needs are considered within a holistic framework; addressing not only immediate concerns but also how the mind-body connection is affected by overall state of health.

Within a comfortable, family practice setting, we have more than eleven years’ experience in delivering high quality healthcare to women, men, and adolescents. We are committed to providing you with the information that you need in order to combat illness and to live a happy, healthy life.

Northstar Healthcare is dedicated to providing quality and innovative care for our patients. Our staff is highly trained, experienced, and compassionate, and you will notice the personal attention that you receive from the moment you walk in the door. We offer a wide variety of services for healthcare and aesthetics, from state of the art laser skin treatments to leading the way in ground-breaking Bioidentical Hormone Therapy, Northstar has demonstrated commitment to excellence and innovation since the day the business began.

Laura Mason

LAURA MASON, MSN, RNFA, FNPc

Northstar Healthcare CEO

Laura has been specializing in women’s health and hormones for over 20 years. She is a student preceptor for up and coming nurse practitioners, lectures frequently on women’s health issues and sits on multiple educational boards in eastern Idaho.

In 2004, the Idaho state legislature passed into law that nurse practitioners could practice independently. Laura took the opportunity to break out on her own, establishing the first independently owned and operated nurse practitioner clinic in southeast Idaho. Her approach is to provide a more personal, compassionate and thorough way of caring for people.

Her expertise ranges from plant based Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), women’s health, thyroid problems, fatigue, insulin resistance and general family medicine. Although her knowledge and experience are extensive, Laura has made hormone replacement therapy her focus, applying this therapy to both men and women. She loves to see how BHRT changes people’s lives in so many positive ways.
